There's a Hole in the Bucket...Dear Liza, Dear Liza...

Yahoo!

Mr. Incredible drove by our lot and there is finally now a hole dug - officially beginning the building process (took them long enough).

I don't have any pictures yet but I am really looking forward to seeing it.

Who would have thought anyone could get so excited about a hole in the ground?! Yep, that's me - simple pleasures!

Passports - a travelling family's necessity

Horseshoes were indeed in the right place again, luckily!

We're planning our annual trip to the U.S. which includes the requisite stop(s) to Target and I remembered somewhere in the sub-reaches of my mind that I needed to check the expiry dates on our passports.
Lucky thing I did too because they expired today!

Yesterday was a busy time for the kids and I. Hubby blissfully travelled to work while I ran around like a madwoman getting everything done. Renewal forms completed, check. Long form for one of my kids, check. Pictures taken, check (that was fun!)

Today was spent getting personal identification rounded up, guarantors arranged, and paperwork handed in.
Round-trip 4 hours (including wait times for guarantor signatures and Passport Canada line-ups).
Did you know that a rush pick up order includes an upcharge of $10?

No worries, it's done, but don't do what I did a few years ago and assume that the kids' passport expires at the same time as yours. I realized at the airport check-in on our way to Disney World that Little One's had expired. Luckily we were still granted our boarding passes with a stern reminder to have things taken care of upon our return.

Adults and kids 3 - 15 years old (Canadians living in Canada): passports are valid for 5 years, under three years of age: passports are only valid for 3 years. Don't forget to keep yours up to date.

Hello! My name is...Mom :)

Hello, and welcome!

Usually I prefer if you call first, but since this is your first time visiting, we'll let it slide.

Welcome to my family's wonderfully crazy journey through life ~ it will, at times, be bumpy but if you endure those bumps in the road, you'll always see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Enjoy!
